Mempro™ Cell-Based C2 Domain-Containing Protein Prooduction

Inquiry

Creative Biostructure can offer first-class custom Mempro™ C2 domain-containing protein production services based on cell-based expression systems.

C2 domain is a Ca2+-binding motif of 130 amino acids in length, which involves in targeting proteins to cell membranes in eukaryotes. The first identification of C2 domain is the Ca2+-dependent isoforms of protein kinase C. It has been shown that C2 domain frequently couples with enzymatic domains (such as phosphatase domain). The signifcant feature of C2 domain is that it has a wide range of lipid selectivity for the major components of eukaryotic cell membranes, including phosphatidylserine and phosphatidylcholine.

Creative Biostructure can provide various high-scale strategies for C2 domain-containing protein production using Mempro™ cell-based proteins expression systems, including:

  • Mempro™ Protein Production in Bacterial Cells System ;
  • Mempro™ Protein Production in Yeast Cells System;
  • Mempro™ Protein Production in Incest Cells System;
  • Mempro™ Protein Production in Mammalian Cells System.

Among MemproTM cell-based protein production platforms, Escherichia coli (E. coli) is used as bacterial host for the production of C2 domain-containing proteins. Yeast cell (such as saccharomyces cerevisiae or pichia pastoris) system, is an attractive eukaryotic host due to single cells, fast growth rates, inexpensive media, high cell densities. Insect cell (such as Sf9, Sf21, and High Five) is also a major system for C2 domain-containing protein expression, which is developed in the early stage that transfected insect cells with the baculovirus species AcMNPV. Mammalian cell presents another eukaryotic expression system, which provide the most authentic cell environment. Mammalian cell lines derived from COS, CHO, BHK-21, HEK293, HeLa and GH3 are popularly used forC2 domain-containing protein production. Our skilled scientists can perform multiple overexpression and purification strategies for high-yield membrane proteins you needed.

Creative Biostructure is able to express, isolate, purify and solubilize C2 domain-containing proteins to facilitate the structural and functional studies.

We provide other various Mempro™ membrane protein production services. Please feel free to contact us for a detailed quote.
