(1) NMR Service provided at clients' requests

Are you interested in obtaining the 3D structure of your protein in solution, study protein dynamics or mapping the binding epitope and dissociation constant of its ligand?
Is your protein suitable for structural studies by NMR?

Please consider the following questions for your interested protein:

  • The amount of purified protein required for structure determination (solubility) is 1-10 mg/ml, depending on the size of the protein - one should aim for a concentration of > 0.3 mM
  • Stability: The protein under investigation has to be stable for at least several days, merely weeks. The temperature range we can use for measuring spectra is 276-328 K.
  • Molecular weight: For a 3D structure determination, proteins with a molecular weight <40 kDa are amenable. For a secondary structure determination, proteins up to 100 kDa are within reach.

Our wet-lab is well experienced in producing labeled protein samples for NMR spectroscopic studies, and well equipped to produce proteins in E. coli. We willingly advise on practical matters or if desired, to produce your target protein in our laboratory.

 
(2) Custom NMR protein structure R&D project:

We listen to your particular problems and needs and customize our services to meet your research/ development requirements. 

Here are the standard stages of a R&D project:

I.  Pre-study:
A pre-study is realized to explore the client’s needs. A preliminary bibliography study is done, existing methods are investigated and appropriate strategies are proposed. A report is prepared summarizing the work in the pre-study as well as suggesting a solution to the client's need.

II.  Project specification, Quotation:
A project specification together with a step by step quotation for the entire project is presented.

III.  Project implementation:
After customer’s acceptance, the scientific and technical solution is worked out by a professional team. The team manager reports directly to the client. At the end of each major stage, a customer validation is needed to continue the project - Only the stages carried out are billed. 
At the end of each stage, a detailed midterm report is provided. A final report is also provided.

IV. Project evaluation:
 
The project is evaluated in order to ensure that all customer expectations are fulfilled. Further support is offered.
