With years of experience in recombinant membrane protein production, Creative Biostructure provides customers our most advanced Mempro™ custom Peptidase AD production service using virus-like particles for various research applications.
Peptidase AD, also called gamma secretase complex, is a superfamily that can be further catalogued into three families: Gamma-secretase family, Presenilin family and the Type IV leader peptidase. Members of peptidase AD superfamily play an important role in the process of Alzheimer’s disease (AD). The Gamma-secretase family contains seven members such as: Gamma-secretase complex, structure 1, Gamma-secretase complex, structure 2, Gamma-secretase complex, structure 3, Gamma-secretase complex, structure 4, Gamma-secretase complex, structure 5, Gamma-secretase complex structure 6 and Nicastrin. The Type IV leader peptidase family contains Peptidase A24B and FlaK domain protein. And the Presenilin family contains the Intramembrane aspartate protease.

Creative Biostructure now can provide high yield and high quality Mempro™ Peptidase AD protein production services using the most advanced Virus-like Particles (VLPs) technology. With years of experience in the field of recombinant membrane protein production and state-of-art platforms, our science team can develop the optimal strategy for customers in each individual case. All kinds of host systems are available in Creative Biostructure to meet different requirements, including bacteria, yeasts, green plants, insect cells, and mammalian cells.
VLPs are highly organized "empty viral shells" that result in the self-assembly of the viral structural proteins. VLPs can mimic native virus in many ways, except that all the VLPs are non-infectious because of the lacking of viral genomes. VLPs have been involved in multiple kinds of biological and clinical researches as powerful tools, such as vaccine development, antigen delivery, recombinant membrane protein production, and heterologous epitope presentation.
Creative Biostructure now can obtain VLPs through many virus families such as bacteriophages, Parvoviridae, Retroviridae, etc. We can use VLPs for advanced recombinant peptidase AD protein production with high yield and high quality. Our protein science team will perform a co-expression of target peptidase AD protein and the chosen viral structural core protein within the host cells. The recombinant viral structural core protein will proceed the self-assembly and the budding-off from the plasma membrane to form the lipoparticles (VLPs that that contain high concentration of specific membrane proteins within their construction). The recombinant target peptidase AD protein will be captured within the construction of the lipoparticles at the same time. We can obtain the specific lipoparticles at the surface of host cells with the target peptidase protein being protected within the construction of lipoparticles. The whole process is completely free from detergents and mechanical disruptions.
Creative Biostructure also provide a widely range of other custom Mempro™ recombinant membrane proteins with various advanced techniques. Welcome to contact us for more details.
