Creative Biostructure can provide unmatched custom Mempro™ immunoglobulin-like superfamily (E set) protein production services based on plant-derived expression system.
Immunoglobulin superfamily (IgSF) is a variety type of cell surface proteins that are involved in the processes of recognition, binding, and adhesion to cells. Members of IgSF share a structural domain termed Ig domain, which possess approximately 70-110 amino acids. It has been shown that Ig domain has a characteristic Ig-like fold composed of a beta-sandwich of seven or more strands in two sheets of antiparallel beta strands (greek key). Ig-like fold is involved in interactions with other Ig-like domains via its beta-sheets. The "early" set (E set) domains are possibly associated with the immunoglobulin and/or fibronectin type III Ig-like protein superfamilies. Currently, it is found that Ig-like E set superfamily consists of five families, including ML domain, RHO protein GDP dissociation inhibitor, immunoprotective extracellular protein, gamma-adaptin C-terminal appendage domain-like and periplasmic glucan biosynthesis protein (MdoG).

Mempro™ plant-based expression platform can produce animal-free, low endotoxin, and low protease activity recombinant membrane proteins. Most importantly, membrane proteins expressed by this system are free of animal components, serum, endotoxins and antibiotics as well as human or animal infectious agents or other endogenous mammalian contamination. We are able to provide recombinant membrane protein production services based on various types of host plants, such as Nicotiana benthamiana (tobacco), Medicago rativa (alfalfa), Arabidopsis thaliana (A. thaliana), potato, maize, barley and lettuce. Notably, plant-derived membrane protein production platform has lots of significant advantages, such as cost-effective, high yield, easy storage and distribution, friendly environment, and free of infectious or toxic contaminants.
With the Mempro™ plant-based expression platform, Creative Biostructure is capable of expressing, isolating, purifying and crystallizing immunoglobulin-like superfamily (E set) proteins to facilitate the study of their biological functions.
Creative Biostructure can also provide Mempro™ plant-based virus-like particles (VLPs) production services, Mempro™ animal-free recombinant protein production services and Mempro™ membrane protein production services. Please feel free to contact us for a detailed quote.
