| Description | It is the replication-incompetent particles in which the native, full-length COVID-19 S protein (with 6His-tag at its C-terminal) was pseudo-typed as the lentiviral particles’ surface envelope protein. The virus genome is not included. Instead it was replaced by a Luciferase under CMV promoter. It is mock lentivirus. This VLP binds to cells that express any S-protein binding receptor, like ACE2. When this binding occur, the VLP stay at surface of the cells and also can get into cells, then the luciferase signal can be detected. |
