Mempro™ Virus-like Particles (VLPs) Modification

Creative Biostructure can manipulate virus-like particles (VLPs) modification genetically or post-translationally by our advanced Mempro™ Virus-like Particles (VLPs) platform, and we can produce various functional VLPs with modification to meet the increasing demands in a broad range of application fields. Creative Biostructure can provide various VLPs modification services including magnetization, glycosylation and linkage of amino acids, peptides, and small molecules.

Post-translational modifications are very crucial to fully functionalize the VLPs products. Glycosylation is a pivot feature in most of the VLPs proteins, and glycosylation of VLPs proteins can affect their structure and function significantly. Consequently, it is very important to choose the proper platform for VLPs production. Creative Biostructure can offer various VLPs production systems like plant cells system, mammalian cells system, and insect cells system to perform glycosylation modification for VLPs. As to plant cells system, it can perform N-glycosylation specificly. Furthermore, we can provide the desired glycan structures optimizition service to enhance the safety and functionality of modified VLPs.

Magnetic virus-like particles have great potential to play important roles as contrast enhancement agents for MRI, cell sorters and bioprobes. In most cases, superparamagnetic nanoparticles which have a reversible magnetization are prone to permanent magnetization ones because these nanoparticles are less preferred to aggregation. Creative Biostructure has rich experience in VLPs modification with custom magnetic cores to create an series of external functionalization sites and to meet the biocompatibility requirement of proper functionalization.

Attaching amino acids, nucleic acids, peptides, proteins and small molecules to the surface of VLPs are very useful for researchers to increase the specific immune response. Creative Biostructure can both using the genetical way and the chemical way to modify our virus-like particle products, and the the chemical ways including covalent attachment and non-covalent attachment. Thanks to these modifications, we can direct the immune response against the attached molecules effectively.

With our unique Mempro™ Membrane Protein platform and Mempro™ Virus-like Particles (VLPs) platform, Creative Biostructure is specialized in various custom virus-like particles (VLPs) modification services. Please feel free to contact us for a detailed quote.
